Brainard Storage
This new construction, three-story self-storage building provides 119,000 square feet of conditioned indoor storage and 17,000 square feet of drive-up single story units on an industrial infill site. Studio DH Architecture worked closely with the client on their first foray into storage projects to navigate the entitlement process to rezone the property within the multiple development and transportation overlay districts it was situated in. The final layout utilizes multiple single story buildings arranged around the perimeter of the site, adjacent a regional highway, to provide screening and security. The facility’s design utilizes high-quality, energy efficient exterior cladding, decorative interior finishes and exceeded the design regulation requirements for landscape to create a new ‘best-in-class’ facility for commercial and residential users.
